[KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) Holds a Knowledge-Sharing Seminar]
KOICA Jordan Office, in collaboration with the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ), successfully conducted a knowledge-sharing seminar on June 10, 2026, at the Rotana Hotel. The seminar focused on “Capacity Building for Tourism Business Sustainability Management in Jordan” and discussed ways to support and strengthen sustainable tourism practices in Jordan.
The seminar aimed to disseminate the knowledge and lessons learned from the KOICA training program on the same topic, conducted in 2025 with the participation of fifteen officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MOTA).
During the seminar, participants discussed sustainable tourism management and tourism business development, while highlighting key challenges facing the tourism sector. The seminar also introduced Korean culture and explored opportunities to further strengthen tourism cooperation and cultural exchange between Jordan and Korea.
The seminar was attended by 40 participants from various government institutions, including the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Vocational Training Corporation.
Since 1991, KOICA has been providing training programs to Jordan as part of its CIAT (Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow) program, aimed at enhancing human resource capacity for the country's socio-economic development. Over 1,233 Jordanian officials have participated in training programs in Korea to date.
